Vanessa Christie

About Me

Past experiences, losses or current pressures may be becoming harder to carry alone and are affecting how you feel within yourself and in your relationships.

Whatever you may be going through, I welcome you to get in touch with me. We can take some time together to explore what has been happening for you and to think about how I may be able to best support you.

I am accredited by the UKCP and a registered member of the BACP. I am experienced in supporting adults (over 18) on issues including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationship and anger issues. My approach is compassionate and collaborative and we will work at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, we can explore possible changes you might want to make, gently addressing issues that may be getting in the way of living a more balanced and fulfilling life. My own mixed heritage and multicultural background naturally informs my work and I aim to offer a space where exploring issues around cultural identity, belonging and difference can be understood with care, sensitivity and support.

In addition to my private practice, I have spent several years working as a counsellor for actors and creatives at a leading London drama school. I have also worked as a psychotherapist within an NHS service, the charity sector (including a nationwide charity for older people) and the counselling service of London universities.

I welcome you to contact me by email for an initial enquiry: christie.vanessa@outlook.com.
