Introduction
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am a psychotherapist, researcher, and educator dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and groups gain deeper insight into their emotions, relationships, and life experiences. My practice is grounded in empathy, evidence-based methods, and a profound understanding of human psychology.
I believe the transformative potential of psychotherapy extends beyond those facing significant psychological challenges. Everyone can benefit from professional support — gaining tools to navigate life’s complexities with greater clarity, resilience, and compassion. My aim is to help you foster a kinder, more adaptive relationship with yourself, which in turn enhances your connection with others.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, identify unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of thinking, behaving, and relating. Together, we will work to transform limiting beliefs and behaviours — empowering you to create meaningful, lasting change and move towards a more fulfilling life.
About Me
Originally from Glasgow and now based in London, I hold a PhD in Counselling and Psychotherapy, specialising in Person-Centred, Emotion-Focused, and Humanistic–Experiential approaches. Alongside my clinical work, I am a researcher, educator, healing coach, and Master Firewalk Instructor, bringing a rich and integrative perspective to my practice.
My research focuses on the self-relationship, negative self-treatment, and social anxiety — areas that continue to inform both my clinical and academic work. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. In addition to my therapeutic practice, I supervise fellow psychotherapists and serve as a Senior Lecturer. I design and deliver degree programmes, including the BSc in Therapeutic Psychology and Counselling, BSc in Psychology (Clinical and Mental Health), and MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as supervising MA research in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Areas of Expertise
My approach is integrative, drawing upon a range of therapeutic traditions — particularly person-centred, emotion-focused, and humanistic–experiential therapies. This flexibility allows me to tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, supporting deeper self-understanding, emotional healing, and personal growth.

- Anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, and emotional regulation
- Low self-esteem, self-criticism, and inner conflict
- Bereavement, grief, loss, and life transitions
- Relationship challenges, communication difficulties, and intimacy issues
- Sexuality, gender identity, and self-acceptance
- Addictive behaviours, eating-related issues, and compulsive patterns
- Abuse, neglect, anger, and unresolved childhood experiences
- Women’s health, including pregnancy, fertility, and menopause
- Chronic illness, pain management, and the emotional impact of health conditions
- Work-related stress, burnout, financial pressures, and major life changes
