About Me / Experience

I am a chartered counselling psychologist who pays particular attention in my practice to how people interact socially and express emotions. I treat people in a non-judgemental manner, provide a safe environment that facilitates psychological change and work collaboratively towards agreed goals.

In addition to my independent work, I am a consultant psychologist in an acute NHS trust where I lead a clinical team that treats people with chronic physical conditions, anxiety and PTSD. I have worked in the NHS for over ten years specialising the treatment of eating disorders and emotionally unstable personality disorder.

I am also a qualified DBT therapist and have done post-qualification training in ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, systemic approaches, trauma-focussed CBT and mindfulness.

Areas of Interest and Expertise

  • Anxiety (including health anxiety, pain and body image)
  • Trauma (PTSD and complex)
  • Impulsivity and destructive behaviour
  • Low self-esteem and self-criticism

I charge £120 per hour.
I also accept referrals from health insurance providers, including AXA, WPA, Aviva, Vitality Health and Bupa.

I work at Eaton Gate on Monday evenings. I also offer some online therapy for people whom I have met initially in person.
